MAINE 2015 TEACHER OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

Maine's 2015 Maine Teacher of the Year is Jennifer Dorman of Skowhegan Area Middle School. She is the 2014 Somerset County Teacher of the Year.

Jennifer is an English Language Arts special education teacher and reading interventionist for grades 7-8. She has held this position since 2006. From 1993 to 2006, Jennifer was the K-6 special education teacher for MSAD 54, instructing students identified with disabilities in the subject areas of reading, writing, spelling, and math. Mrs. Dorman holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Maine at Farmington and a Master of Arts in education from Lesley University. She also serves as a course instructor for the Maine Education Consortium.
