We have good news! Education Leaders Experience (ELE) is returning to full in-person this year! ELE is a year-long, experiential professional development experience for educational leaders.
ELE is all about building relationships and connections across Maine. Developed by Unum, administered by Educate Maine, and in partnership with Maine Principals' Association and Thomas College, this unique program brings together education leaders to spend roughly one day per month learning about Maine industries, businesses, and current and emerging workforce needs.
ELE is an opportunity to build a network of personal connections with business leaders, create strong relationships with other educators and education leaders across the state, and gain a better understanding of the knowledge and skills required of your students to participate in the rapidly evolving workforce. Education plays a critical role in Maine’s economy. The ELE sessions highlight that intersection.
Recent participants in the ELE class say:
"Without a doubt, this is one of the most powerful professional development experiences I have had in over twenty years of being an educator."
"This was such a powerful experience. It is 100% worth the time, effort, and cost."
A sample calendar for the year, along with more details about the program, is on Educate Maine’s website. Thanks to generous financial support from Unum, tuition for the 2021/2022 program is only $1,100. A link to the online application can be found here.
