The High Performance Building Systems & Practices Pre-Apprenticeship Program, run by our partners at passivhausMAINE, is now accepting applications for their second cohort. This state-certified program provides FREE hands-on training and exposure to careers in high-performance, energy-efficient building — with built-in scheduling flexibility so students and full-time workers can participate.
Pre-Apprentices benefit from:
• Flexible monthly in-person or repeat virtual sessions
• Field trips to visit industry builders and designers
• Stipend support to reduce participation barriers (if needed)
• Direct industry connections and career pathway opportunities
