Celebrating Connections: Submit Your Proposals for Education Symposium 2025

May 22, 2025 · WHETHER YOUR WORK LIVES IN A SCHOOL, A COLLEGE, A COMPANY, OR A COMPANY, WE WANT TO HEAR HOW YOU’RE STRENGTHENING THE WEB OF SUPPORT AROUND LEARNERS.

Educate Maine's annual Symposium is the largest gathering of educators and business leaders in Maine. We have opened proposals for presentations at this signature event. We are especially interested in presentations, workshops or seminars on:

Learning Beyond the Bell: Learning happens at schools, on the job, and in communities. This track invites sessions on community-based learning, maker culture, internships, and extended learning opportunities (ELOs), including how schools, colleges, and employers are recognizing and supporting informal learning.

Powerful Partnerships: What happens when schools, employers, higher education institutions, and communities team up with purpose?

Voices That Matter: We know that education is pivotal in fostering and sustaining our democratic society. This track focuses on empowering those closest to education from student leadership to enact systems change to educator advocacy in policy decisions and everything in between.

Trailblazing Teaching: Today’s educators are leading change—in how students learn, how schools operate, and how communities connect. This track celebrates the evolving role of teachers as innovators, advocates, and culture-builders.

Learning That Sticks: When learning is meaningful and personal, it lasts. This track explores instructional approaches that build confidence and purpose through place-based learning, problem-solving, experiential education, and career and technical pathways.
